Shree Niranjana Swamy Aided Polytechnic Sunkadakatte is a prestigious Institution owned and run by the Shree Niranjana Swamy Educational Trust, Sunkadakatte. Mangalore, Started on 7th October 1984.This Polytechnic is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and Affiliated to the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and the Board of Technical Education, Karnataka State. The Government of Karnataka has extended the grant-in-aid facility from 24-11-2006 onwards for 3 courses are, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering . And 2 unaided courses are Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. This Institution has been imparting technical education to like younger generation. So that they could be the part and parcel of modern India.

Shree Niranjana Swamiji, a great missionary and social worker was a firm believer, and his opinion was that social changes can be brought only through education. With this aim he started Shree Niranjana Swamy Educational Trust way back in 1981. Then he started number of educational institutions and relied upon making the rural youth technically trained and self reliant. Thus came into existence Sri Niranjana Swamy Polytechnic on 7th October 1984. He believed that technical education is an integral part of human values and this is a guideline for us.
